PURPOSE

• Organize and promote student exchanges, sport events, culture and language teaching (italian, english, esperanto) between twinned cities (Orée d'Anjou, Calcinato , and Verwood )

• Strenghten european people unity.

 

HISTORY

• 1981 : Champtoceaux and Niederheimbach ( Germany ) twinning

• 1984 : Champtoceaux and Verwood ( UK ) twinning

• 1993 : Champtoceaux and Verwood twinnings covers cities vicinities.

• 2000 : Champtoceaux and Calcinato ( Italy ) twinning.

• 2016 : Champtoceaux twinning is renamed Orée d'Anjou twinning
